Progress is impossible without change.

Who we are.

AnchorBridge Environmental Inc. (ABE) is a non-profit organization dedicated to environmental justice, advocacy and education in Barbados and the Caribbean since its inception in 2020. Our purpose is to champion the environmental health of communities, advocate for intergenerational justice, and enhance conservation education in young people, substantially building to the advancement of ecological justice across the island and the region at large.

We are young, gender-diverse, intersectional feminists who defend the rights of all peoples in caring for racialized and marginalized communities and their environs.

ABE was founded out of a deep commitment to confronting environmental challenges, with a strong focus on justice, equity, inclusion and community-driven advocacy. Our goal is to build the collective power of young Caribbean people to combat injustice, defend human rights, and protect their environments, as an example to the world on building anti-colonial, non-extractive community power.
